Laughter is so contagious. I was at a party yesterday and a two year old boy was sitting in the front row.
Now normally children will smile or laugh at different times throughout the show, because there are a lot of funny bits in it. This little boy was smiling and laughing the whole time. No matter what I did or said, he just kept laughing. Even during parts of the show that weren’t suppose to be funny, he just kept laughing. He never stopped!
I could not take my eyes off him. His laughter, excitement, and joy was so contagious. I finally paused in the middle of one of my routines and said to everyone, “This little boy up here in the front row is laughing so hard I think he is going to fall off his chair!”
Everyone then looked at the boy and started laughing because he was laughing so hard. It was the cutest thing. The other kids started laughing more, even the adults looking at the boy started to laugh. He just kept on smiling and laughing throughout the show. It was such a pleasure for me to watch someone so little having such a great time!
When a performer gets reactions like that during his/her show, it reminds them why they are doing what they are doing. They are making people happy, which is what shows and life is all about.
